How do solar cells work?

Solar (or photovoltaic) cells convert the sun’s energy into electricity. they rely on the the photoelectric effect: the ability of matter to emit electrons when a light is shone on it. The solar cells are made of silicon and other materials which made up of at least 2 semi-conductor layers, one layer called P layer with extra electrons, another is called N layer missing equivalent electrons.  When the sun shines on the solar cells, free electrons from the P layer flow to N layer. Then it forms the electrons current. When the sun shines on the solar cells, the sun will realize photons, which contains sun energy. Many of the photons are reflected, pass right through, or absorbed by the solar cell. As these  hit the silicon atoms of the solar cell, they transfer their energy to loose electrons, knocking them clean off the atoms. The photons could be compared to the white ball in a game of pool, which passes on its energy to the coloured balls it strikes. E lectrons ar...

The most simple way to DIY a cheap solar panel

There are articles and videos introducing how to build a solar panel.here is the most simple way to DIY a solar panel there are 8 steps to DIY a simple solar panel 1. prepare the material to make the solar cells solar cells rusin flux pen solder gun solder tap epoxy board or plastic board 2. Measure the solar cells and cut the solder tap according the solar cell. usually we measure the line on the solar cells, we keep the solar tap longer than the solar cells since the solder tap used to connect two solar cells together 3. Then can start use the rusin flux pen to paint the line on the solar cells, and use the solder gun to solder the solder tap to the solar cells. 4. After solder the tap on each solar cells, then turn the solar cells over, and paint the line on the back of the solar cells with rusin flux pen then connect the last solar cells to the next 5. After finished assembling the solar cell, we can cut the board and put stick or glue on the epoxy board. 6. Put the ...
